FAQ

  • What about the legal terms?
The Fund is registered with the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM) under the so called “light regime“ and is an open-ended fund for joint account (“fonds voor gemene rekening“). The Fund and the Manager are registered with the AFM in accordance with section 2:66a of the FMSA. Because the minimum investment amount of each Participant is EUR 100,000, neither the Fund nor the Manager does require a licence for the management of the Fund and the offering of the Participations under the FMSA. The Fund and the Manager are not supervised on the basis of the Part "Prudential supervision of financial undertakings" or the Part "Conduct of business supervision of financial undertakings" of the FMSA.

  • What about paying taxes?
The Fund is tax transparent, meaning it is not subject to Dutch corporate income tax. Usually Dutch natural persons privately investing in the Fund are subject to Dutch income tax in “Box 3”. If the investment is made through a Dutch legal entity than usually “Box 1” applies.

  • What about costs?
An annual fixed fee for ongoing fund costs of 2% over assets under management is charged and 20% of annual profit share above a high watermark. To discourage in-and-out trading negatively influencing the fund performance, a 2% redemption fee applies. The redemption fee is not paid to Caltrix Capital. The redemption fee is funded to the investors assets by adding it to the total Assets Under Management (AUM). After a period of 3 years investors are exempt from any redemption fees.

  • What about security?
Security of the funds is among our highest priorities. More than with traditional assets, the security of digital assets should be handled very prudently. We therefore keep the majority of our assets locked in cold storage (offline) in wallets that require multiple signatures to gain access. The wallets are then stored in different bank safe deposits. This is currently the safest form of storing digital assets. We strive for continuous optimization regarding cryptographic and physical security of our assets, which is always in line with the latest developments, ensuring optimal security.

  • What are the risks involved?
Investing in digital assets is considered a high-risk, high potential return investment. Digital assets have a high level of volatility and unpredictability. Investors should be aware that the market, at this point, is still subject to extreme fluctuations. Therefore, the fund is only suited for participants who can afford significant fluctuations and a high level of risk.

  • Are the results verified by a third party?
Yes. We strive to work together with the most professional third party service providers to provide maximum security of funds, legitimacy of results and transparency of performance and developments.
